Horizon CF held partnership events with CGI Russia
10 November 2022, Moscow
In September Horizon CF, in partnership with the Global Climate Initiative Russia (CGI Russia), hosted an online session “New Stakeholders of Green Agenda”. The event touched upon topics of rethinking environmental priorities within the current Russian economic framework and the search for new environmental standards for Russian companies that in the past have formed their “green agenda” predominantly in compliance with requirements of foreign investors.
The session was moderated by Maria Novokreschenova, Deputy General Director of Horizon CF, and Anton Storozhenko, Corporate Governance Expert of CGI Russia. Victor Drozdov, Member of the Board of Directors of Polyus, and Vladimir Zaluzhsky, IR of Severstal participated in the discussion.
In November, Horizon CF became a partner of an online event “CGI Russia 2022: Focus on Sustainability” dedicated to the second anniversary of CGI Russia. In 2020, CGI Russia launched its activities in Russia as a platform for board members being a part of the World Economic Forum's Global Climate Initiative. In 2021, Horizon CF and CGI Russia entered into a partnership agreement to jointly promote the climate agenda among directors of Russian companies and implement the best global practices of the climate agenda in corporate governance.
During our partnership with CGI Russia, we have conducted several challenging studies that have given valuable insights for our company providing services in IR and ESG support. It was extremely good to see that the ESG goals of most Russian companies remained unchanged and the great achievement of CGI Russia, as a platform for the exchange of views and knowledge among board members, is that it provides an opportunity to openly discuss current issues and strives to improve the quality of corporate governance in Russia in accordance with best practices.
Maria Novokreschenova, Deputy General Director of Horizon CF
